The Standard Backup software will backup any folders on your drive that are not being used at the time. If you operate a database or email server the Open File Backup would be more appropriate since the standard backup software may not be able to complete a backup of these types of files.

Backup Schedule

Our backup schedule consists of the following:

•  Initial Synchronisation
  This is carried out at the first backup.
  
  
•  Daily Recovery-Point Backup
  An incremental backup of changed files
  
  
•  2-Day Deleted File Retention *
  Files that are backed up, then deleted from your VPS, are retained on the backup server for up to 2 Days.
  
  
•  5 File Versions Retained *
  Whenever a backed-up file changes, the original file and the new version of it are retained on the backup servers. Up to 5 different versions of the same file will be retained on the backup servers indefinitely - unless that file is subsequently deleted from the server.

* The longer deleted files are retained for, and the more file versions that are retained, the more space is used on the backup servers. Adjustments may need to be made to ensure you do not exceed the backup space allowance.
